Puppies in winter

We're absolutely terrible at keeping up with updates – life is like a circus and trying to keep this news fresh is like juggling flaming torches. Embarrassingly, our last post was before Rousey had her first litter in November 2023. Our excuse? Puppies are like tiny, adorable tornadoes of chaos! The daily cleaning, health checks, socializing, cuddling, and updating their future families, PLUS all the usual chaos of having a big family and busy jobs. It was like trying to herd cats in the summer – and in winter, the cold and wet weather just cranked up the difficulty level!
Brace yourself for the tail-wagging joy that pups bring into our lives and their families' too. A lot has gone down since our last bark in Nov 2023 - so here’s the scoop in bite-sized chunks:
We snagged a boy from Rousey's first litter - Cobalt. This little furball has dug his way into our hearts!
Cobalt is training in search and rescue and is an absolute dream to work with. Seriously, he doesn't need a handler and we can't keep up with his speed. Playing hide and seek on our property? Piece of cake now - those kids don't stand a chance!
After a failed attempt in late 2024, we hit the jackpot in mid 2025 with 6 energetic pups now 6 weeks old.
We brought a girl into our K9 gang - Ruby. She’s also training in search and rescue and is already showing she’s got the sniff for it! Ruby and Cobalt are the best of buds, and we’re crossing our paws to see what kind of adorable chaos they’ll create in a few years.
A little lady from the current litter will join our breeding team, living it up with a guardian family. This way, each pup gets the spotlight and training it deserves. She’ll be close enough to join our search and rescue antics, so we’ll keep tabs on her progress.
We’re giving Rousey a well-deserved break from breeding while she’s still in top dog shape. We’re so thankful for the chance to raise her pups and continue her legacy with the next gen of tail-waggers.
If all goes as planned (Ruby and Cobalt need to ace their health and temperament checks), our next litter is penciled in for late 2027.
